Teeth Straightening in San Marcos – Invisalign® & ClearCorrect
We can help design your smile and reshape your teeth with Invisalign® or ClearCorrect. These clear aligners are almost completely undetectable and provide an alternative for individuals who don’t want to wear traditional metal braces. This treatment is also different from ‘clear braces’ which are similar to traditional braces except the brackets attached to the teeth are made of ceramic and more closely match the color of a patient’s natural teeth. Unlike metal or ceramic braces, both Invisalign® and ClearCorrect treatments use clear, nearly undetectable aligners. The processes for using these two techniques are very similar.
How Do Invisalign® and ClearCorrect Work?
Invisalign® and ClearCorrect treatments both straighten your teeth using a series of clear, virtually invisible, custom-molded aligners that fit tightly over your teeth. The course of treatment involves changing these aligners approximately every two weeks. Each aligner shifts your teeth by putting pressure on certain areas, moving your teeth into straighter position step by step, until you have a more beautiful smile. And unlike traditional metal braces, these clear aligners can be removed while you eat and brush your teeth as usual. The aligners used in Invisalign® and ClearCorrect treatments are also more gentle on the soft tissue inside your mouth than metal braces.
The Invisalign® and ClearCorrect methods of straightening your teeth do require some commitment. While the aligners can be removed, they should be worn at least 22 hours a day and overnight. Sometimes Invisalign® or ClearCorrect alone will not give you the perfect look you are after and a combination treatment of Invisalign® or ClearCorrect and conventional braces will be necessary. However, if you are diligent in using your series of clear, removable aligners, Invisalign® and ClearCorrect will straighten your teeth with results you’ll notice sooner than you think. The Invisalign® and ClearCorrect treatments for adults usually take about a year.
Where Can I Get Invisalign® or ClearCorrect?
Invisalign® and ClearCorrect are different brands used for the same treatment with ClearCorrect usually being slightly less expensive than Invisalign®. The price of the treatment can also vary with location. While our office does not provide Invisalign® or ClearCorrect treatments directly, we can refer you to credible local orthodontists, such as Dr. Jeff Ault, specialist in tooth straightening, who provides this type of treatment.
